aside from that, this has been a curious but interesting few days. Saturday I found a run away dog and chased it around the neighborhood without shoes on cause I just couldn't let it go (curse me not owning a pet, no leash to hold it on and once it got loose boy did he run)
finally finished ch 72 *relieved* FINALLY!! and 73... ended up needing work ugh... still about three pages though.
and saturday we had a writers meeting and got no writing done. We conspired that one of the absent members might be an alien then went out to see star trek... i never imagined how lovable some of the characters could be (namely scotty, bones, sulu, checkov and gee even spock) it was pretty good, slow at first but it got me toward the end. Anyway, at the meetings we usually sit at the cafe but they hate it when we're there so when we can we sneak into the private meeting room, usually thats okay but this week we got yelled at 5 times because they were afraid we would move things.... why you ask? Because there was a planned book signing for this evening. Never had i heard of the author or his book but apparently he is new "big thing". Eventually we got sick of getting permission and then getting yelled at as shifts changed and new staff members were not informed of our pressence so we got up and moved, ending up at the entrance where everyone talked and I looked over the display of books for this writer.
well this evening, all because of a picture of the author, i went to the signing. Originally i just wanted to listening in on his talk (which was more of a QA session) but my sister asked me to get her the book so I decided to get it signed. Me and the girl behind me were possibly the only girls there... not to mention nearly the oldest of the lot (discounting adults getting it for their kids who couldn't be there) She was very nice... it was just awkward because of the age difference. blast >_<
anyway.... RICK RIORDAN... very cool guy. I wish him the best of luck with his family, his future continuation of the Percy series and the filming of the movies based off his series. *thumbs up*
gee my first book signing... someday I wish to see that kind of reception for my series... but gotta finish it first.... *aherm* after... this show is over.

and for the fun of it... Lookit a frog! i caught two of these last week but I let them go in the pond before realizing... gee I shoulda taken a picture. This one was huge.... and then Suave tried to eat it.... Don't worry... he didn't (i think O_O )

anyway... just thought I'd share a little happening from today... With *gasp* everyone.
At work there are two barn cats: Ricco and Suave... granted I don't know which cat is which so I just call the black and white one Suave and asume the other one is Ricco (brownish grey with black stripes) Usually these cats will have nothing to do with you unless you are hanging around the barn or have food unless of course you are their master (my boss' wife) Ricco is the hunter... I rarely see this cat around because he's off in the bushes somewhere hunting (i have seen the spoils of his victories...eww) and Suave is the one who follows the master around... for example We were raking the yard and there he was, following her every step untill the neighbor hood kids came around and scared him away. (for a while we didn't even know where he was because he was hunkered down in the bushes but he let us know he was around by meowing) heh... which reminds me of this one time I was walking the yard to get to my car after the sun had set and i heard the bushes rustle and he pounced at me...
but I digress...
I guess because I've been helping his master with yard work lately he's taken a liking to me. Wednesday he was waiting in the grass where I usually park my car and approached right away so i would pet him, then Ricco pushed him away (and i think it was feeding time because they both ran to the barn) and today He was in the same spot and did the same thing. i pet him for a few minutes and walked away so i could get to work and he followed me... into the shop... and he probably would have followed me upstairs but he's afraid of stairs, so he sat there until I led him outside and then he just sat outside the door. I felt bad so i let him inside again and showed him to the back door to see if he preferred that... and well in long and short of things he went back to the barn for food.

i think its been a pretty long time since I have actually wanted to see a movie in theaters when it actually comes out. if you dont count winterbreak where the whole family saw that horrid flick which shant be named I dont think i have seen a movie in theaters since..... mmm probably iron man? and even before then I dont think i went to the movies much...
but i saw the trailer for this movie based off a short done by a UCLA student (shane aker was it?) and well *gasp* judge for yourself (i suggest, as cool as the short is, that you probably not watch it for fear there may be spoilers (its about 10 min long and on youtube)

So finally I have a writing update. woo... 360! and I finally broke from that stupid slump I was in... though I don't have much else to say except THE MAIN MAIN CHAR HAS FINALLY BEEN INTRODUCED... you know... the one the book is named after *gasp* about time right?
aside from that my birthday has come and gone and..... can we pretend brithdays dont exist anymore? People make such big deals about the day and its like... dude... nothing happened.. ALL day... I didn't even get to go out for ice cream... no one was home and it kinda sucks to go by yourself. I did get a pair of owl pj's.... its possible I already mentioned that though.... yeah I probably did so thats all I have to say for now...

Also been watching Dexter lately. Finished the first season in two days. It's kinda funny how knowing one key point of the season kinda ruins everything fo you. That or everything was just too obvious to begin with but still. It's an ok show so far, going to see if season two holds more surprises. They use the F word a little too frequently too,... but thats a scripting issue.
in other news: Ill probably get to page 270 today. would have the other day but I had to go back and rewrite two pages because i broke two consistancy rules.
you do that once, maybe twice to throws off the whole dialogue and ruins the scene.
there is a creepy squirrel sitting on the branch outside my window... it's staring at me, little beady eyes glinting in the sunlight... *shudders*
aside from that Visited my gran upstate this weekend.... went to a county fair, first one like this. It was okay. I won a baby tree (white spruce), planted it last night... hopefully the cats wont eat it... or pee on it...
that's it from me. Need to get some writing done...

the other day I went to the library to find out how to copywrite my story... they had no idea, so I rented a book... a bit dated by 10 years but it copywriting process' shouldn't have changed that much... right? They did find me a book for 2009 listing publishing companies... I have about 16 that sounded some what promising. I have to check out their web sites and then go find that book again.
I learned a lesson about our local library... never go around 5pm... seminars end and the parking lot is a scary nightmare O_O (you know like those reading seminars, or little kid story time, or like an instructional class i guess?) You cannot leave or get in... the honking... and yelling... "OoO"
in actual book news... IVE REACHED 260!... and ever closer to the end... sadness... im still having issues figuring a plot for book two... too many ideas and cliche over done events you can find in any book. *shakes head* i would like to break the cycle. War... no war? *shrugs*
I hope to get more writing done this weekend...and hope not to finish it juuuust yet... but I'm also going away this weekend so... you never know.
mmmm dunno what else to say. Hopefully maybe Ill finally sketch out the main char.. its bothering me I havn't yet... oh well.
been thinking bout the month of october lately too....but thats another story...

story update: Hit page 250 last night/today
um.... yeah Im feeling uninspired tonight, its been a long day.... loooong sunday..... i played with kitties, worked... and shoveled horse... poo
ah next weekend might go upstate to visit my gran... other gran... uh we dont know where she is right now... she might be stuck in Russia... but no one really knows, not even her boyfriends family.
the internet is uneventful.
five pages more i think ill reach the climax of the story... we shall see.

Got to page 240 the other day... my writing seems awkward since I added another char...I think the main is a little over smitten with her and each conversation with her seems to leave some one out... feels complicated... but there had to be a female character. Would seem awkward without one, right? (ok the bar woman, main chars mother and doctor dont count)
today i went back to work because I need money... after quiting the job... i am back... because they really need the help...and I cant say no.
if only they'd emptied the garbage before I came... it smelled soooo bad -_- rotting... vegitation in an overflowing garbage. uch... I can smell it now... IT SHOULD SMELL LIKE COOKIES IN HERE!!
aside from that- we had two more "tornado's" in the past few days... not today or yesterday... but i went out in the rain and took some pictures of the yearling feral cat that eats the bread I leave out for the birds.

Did anyone know the mythbusters were on CSI (las vegas)? They seem so out of place...
(ok.... im trying to link this but I have no idea if it'll work) I havn watched CSI in a while so I dont know what's going on... but from what i saw of this clip the scene is this: Grissom, Nick and Greg are watching a security video of a robbery... cop uses peper spray on the villain then tazers him with one of those shootable stun guns and the guy gets set aflame. So Nick goes back to the lab and tries to recreate the scene.... and suddenly there's Jamie and Adam... they look so out of place O_O (i hope this works this is the 36 seconds of the show they were in)
in other news... ahhhh.... mmmmm nope... i got nothing.
writing news: 224 and going (i feel i am near the end and it sadens me) does anyone know how to copywrite stuff?
